Ah, yes Wales seems to be a different story than England. Those Welsh roads do look very tempting and I think I read somewhere that they're generally in a better condition than English roads.

Perhaps temptation may get the better of you sometime

Most of my driving is done in Wales and the condition of the roads that I use is fairly good. I can’t really comment on the condition of the roads in England as I don't use them much at all. However, the ones I have used seemed to be ok.
