Hello

Great work on the rear diff metal chassis work .. well done

although mine does still look like that after a year old from new ... also does look like a diff oil seal issue (have you a warranty still ?)

hi folks, yes the wax was done before the bolts were put back. and yes the mechanic pointed the screw in plug for the diff, apparently these are not seals but the screw in bolt is tapered so just needed tightening to seal properly ? I will keep my eye on it, has anyone else had this on theirs, regards, mark

Nope. You ask the dealer. They have to sent in pictures. If its severely rusted it can be replaced for every age of car.

If you have a problem & no warrantee left remove the parts & take them to be sandblasted & then on to the chrome platers who will zinc coat the parts. They will last forever then.

Has anyone ever removed these parts? How many bolts and fastenings, are there any tricky parts?

Exactly my question - it might be a spring weekend job to clean them up and hammerite them.
