Not the best finish to my Le Mans trip, stuck in traffic on M25 approaching Dartford Tunnel, temp gauge goes straight into red and all warning lights on. The fan isn't kicking in and with 3 miles of slow traffic up to the tunnel I'm not risking it so it's on the hard shoulder or me.
2.5 hours later RAC finally arrive but can't diagnose why the fan isn't working, he can't even find a fuse for it.
Eventually got home and will get it into dealers, but been looking at the fuses, and although there's 4 different fuse boxes I can't see one for the cooling fan. Is there one?

That's not good

the fuse will be either FRM01 (100A) if you have the 850w fan

or .. FRM02 / 01B - if you have the 500w fan

fuses located front offside fuse box near the headlight (it is on my 2018 model)

it's called engine junction box right ... but I have seen this issue before and I believe the fan control module was faulty ? seen it in another post

Looking throughout the workshop manual (V8);


1. Pop the bonnet and go to the RH side junction box.
2. Locate FRM01 and FRM01B, 100 and 70A fuses respectively.
If all good, now goto:
3. Junction box on the left hand side of the engine compartment
4. Locate fuses FLF08 and FLF14, check continuity

That's the first areas I'd look.
Let us know the results.

You can get a third party company to log into Topix for you and create a full manual for your exact model.
I have it for mine. Cost around $60 and is in my case 19,700 pages long
To say fairly detailed is an understatement

Can this not be accessed by an individual owner subscribing ? $60 or equivalent sterling would be well worth it for that much detail.

I'm sure it could if you had the time, systems and ability to collate it all. The process I used involved a single day access in which they downloaded and catalogued an entire pdf manual for me
To do it alone would have taken weeks
Alternative would be to sign up each time I wanted access or perhaps a longer subscription
