That’s yet to be disclosed.
Big change from the intial “it’s a high pressure pump”

I had been checking the oil weekly and had done it that day and showed 3/4 so all good there.
Had an update from garage that number 4 piston had hit a spark plug crushing it. Looks like a new engine.
Down side is now in dispute as they say there warrenty only covers 4K per claim which I do not accept.
I am in the uk by the way.
As I and others have said you should be seeking a full refund and return of the car and not pursue this route
You will end up with a huge financial loss claiming on an insurance based warranty
My advice is to stop posting on an open forum, seek legal advice and then reconnect with Jaguar

IMO this would be more down to JLR directly to fit a new engine, due to the miles, even if the dealer claimed the 4K from whoever issued / underwrote the warranty and the rest from JLR in goodwill , I think try and sort it first and only go the legal route as a last resort .

Hi all

Update if anyone interested. My jag is having a new engine which is actually being funded by jag themselves. Lots of failures under the bonnet caused by each other it seems. Feel I got a lemon but can’t wait to get it back!!
