Hello,
Any auto electricians on here?!
I’ve the P7 front grill fitted. Currently the two middle parking sensors are bonded into the grill. At some point I would like to remove them completely.
Could the two sensors be removed, whilst keeping the two outer sensors?
TIA
Darren

I think you’ll struggle as they are designed to be fail safe
Removed the system will throw a warning message and not work.
If you put them inside the bumper they will give a false reading of being close to an object and bleep
I had fun with mine when fitting the SVR bumper to get them them working correctly in new locations.
It is however possible a specialist could identify what reiisrance or signal a non-activated sensor gives and wire something instead, but Jaguar are always difficult to ‘trick’ vs other makes

Thank you knew you’d offer sage advice
Thought there maybe two possibilities. Either cut them out completely & link the gap. Agree the car may know they’re missing & give error messages. Or, as you suggest, clip two pretend sensors (resistors) in the sensor pockets & run them behind the grill out of harms way.
Have no need for the two middle ones & therefore would prefer them gone. I’m either replacing or re-painting the grill, front bumper at some point over the next few years. Will do some research & visit auto electrician along the way.
Thanks anyway. I’m going to contact Phil at Caffiene & Machine again. See which Saturdays are best for a little F-Type get together
