SVR For the day

I took my car in for it’s first MOT today and the dealer gave me an SVR for the day, very nice indeed, only 65 miles on the clock
Managed a quick drive around Warwickshire for an hour, performance was outstanding,
View from outside my office is not the best but the car was stunning, loved the blue stitching...

Just thought I’d share...

Kind regards

Steve

I usually get a basic E-Pace when mine is in for service. Will have to chuck your post on their desk the next time :o

Ha yes sounds like a plan, I think they wanted to sell it to me but I’m keeping mine for a bit longer yet, that said I don’t mind the test drives if they offer them to me ;)

How did you think it drove compared to your awd R?

TBH it didn’t feel that much quicker, maybe the fact it was still new and needed to bed in, what I did notice though were the seats are thinner and more comfortable than mine, also the infotainment screen was not only larger but more responsive and the satnav display is better, but performance wise unless you’re on a track I think you’d struggle to feel the difference in traffic, it was a stunning car though and nearly brought the petrol station to a standstill when I stopped to put some fuel in it...

Thanks Steve. Your feedback is close to what I have heard others say.

Hi All,
Just thought I’d add something....hope you don’t mind...
I had a 400 Sport, rwd. I bought it thinking it would be a good compromise between the 3 litre F Type and the 5 litre.
There’s no doubt, it’s a great car.
However, I always had an ‘itch’ which I needed to scratch, that being, owning an SVR.
This year I bought a new MY 19.5 SVR in Ultra Blue. I’m sure there are different views on the colour choice. What can’t be disputed, is the phenomenal difference in performance between the 400 Sport and an SVR.
You put your foot down and it just keeps going and going. The sound is incredible and the carbon ceramic brakes are ust amazing.
I’ve read umpteen reviews which eventually summarise whether it’s worth spending the extra amount of money getting an SVR rather than a V8 S.
Well, I can say, with certainty, it is!
I’m in the very fortunate position I can afford to own one and I’m so glad I did! Price wise, it knocks spots off such things like the McLaren 570s, R8 and the Aston Martin Vantage V8.
If you are ever considering whether to make the leap to an SVR, I would say “do it”!
Very best wishes to you all, Ian

Cracking car and colour!!
(I would only question the parking - I reckon a lot of money and effort went into someone putting down different colour bricks - only teasing).
