Hi All
Just noticed a nasty chip in one of the spokes on on one of the front wheels, it’s small but to me it’s an eyesore and I need to get it sorted.
Problem is I can’t find anyone that can tell what colour the wheel are other than they are Dark Satin Grey. I can’t ascertain colour manufacturer or colour code. I’ve spoken to a dealer and they just referred me to a mobile wheel repairer, who wants to powder coat the whole wheel which seem a bit OTT
Has anyone had to repair wheels on a 400 Sport?
Any help/guidance would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance

I would have recommended Pristine in Woburn (Nr MK) but sadly they closed down late last year.
Yes, I had all 4 refurbed. No-one could provide a colour code, but I was assured that they would match the wheels as close as possible.
As I was having all 4 done, there would be no way to compare new and old.
I went to Auto Curators near Hook - they do my detailing, and they in turn use another company in Basingstoke for wheel refurbs.

you have 3 options really:
1) refurb the entire wheel and powder coat/wet spray
2) smart repair that spoke
3) just cover up the chip with some paint
i have alloy wheel insurance, kerbed both passenger side wheels, had both refurbed + powder coated. few months later, got a stone chip on another wheel. as they are black, it was an eyesore even though probs 4mm only. insurers would have refurbed the wheel but i couldnt be bothered with all that faff just for a chip. felt it wast a good use of either parties time so just ended up covering it with some black paint
EDIT: obvs mine aren't diamond cut, so this may not apply to you oops

I have used lepsons in Swindon before and was disappointed with the results. Maybe other branches are better.
Since then I have used thewheelspecialist in fareham and have been very happy with a much better finish.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you'll find Lepsons have only once branch in the UK and that's in Gillingham, Kent (Also the home of Original Jubilee Clip)
