Depends how bad and as scm said, which wheel design.
Personally i'd leave it unless its really bad as im sure you'll do it again on another wheel, as i have grrrr.
I'm just going to wait and get them all done at the same time because they cant always make them look oem and if you get one done then possibly
it will look slightly different to the others.
Just my 2 penneth worth
New to the forum
Hi, welcome to the forum.
I know how you feel.......done the same thing myself last week on my front wheel!
Also checked the tyre for damage but luckily there was only a small scuff. I'm running Michelin PS4 on the fronts and Michelin PS4S on the rear (Michelin doesn't make the PS4S size 245/40ZR19 for the front).
I removed the wheel and rubbed down the rough edges and high points of the damage (being careful not to go too much outside the affected area) then filled and prepared it.
I used Jaguar’s own touch-up paint (2 separate coats) then finished off with Jaguar clear lacquer on the following day.
The job isn’t perfect but it’s not that noticeable unless you’re looking for it. If any further damage occurs I’d probably have a full wheel refurb done at my local specialist but saved myself approx £120 on this occasion!

Sorry,it's a svr so mag wheels + I've heard there a pig to fix & I live in the Chester area but I think I'll hang on as I might do another one + has anyone in the Chester area used SVS in Tarporley as I'm not convinced jaguar service centres are good enough
We don't need much convincing about that (although in fairness some are very good, it's pot luck)! Good independents are worth finding and keeping in business.

I have previously used ‘The Wheel Specialist’ and they are excellent. They’re not the cheapest but they’re well worth it and they have branches throughout the UK including Chester.
At the moment their services are temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus situation but they are still able to answer queries via email and phone.

Another vote for The Wheel Specialists. Had all four done as one had slight rash after negotiating Costa Coffee Drive-Thru Wanted them all same finish.
They did a great job & wouldn’t hesitate to use again. They also fitted new tyres at same time
Picture after refurb...

+1 for The Wheel Specialist, have used their Havant branch after a pothole blew the tyre (Audi) and damaged the rim and amazed how well they repaired it as I was expecting to have to buy a new wheel.
