Fuel supplements (for injectors)

Just seen this video on YouTube. This guy has done a lot of research and seems to know what he’s talking about. Specifically he’s adding something to the fuel once every four months to prevent injector issues.
Anyone in UK doing this?

On a previous car I owned I never used any fuel additives but after reading some info on fuel injectors etc I decided to regularly add Redex petrol system/injector cleaner to the fuel. There was no difference.

On my F-Type, every now and again I fill up with a tank full of Shell V-Power Unleaded which helps remove built-up deposits that have already formed on the intake valves and/or fuel injector nozzles. It also helps to restore your engine’s performance.

I only use shell v power anyway. I’ll pass on the additional supplement for now.

I use Shell V-Power every fill-up, and I have a can of BG44K waiting to go in when we're allowed to drive long distances without having to exercise at the end so I can use the whole tank in a reasonably short time. I've also read suggestions that it's best used just before an oil change to get rid of any deposits that find their way into the sump.

Shell V-Power is an excellent fuel.

Wish there was a Shell petrol station nearer to me as I have to drive approx 10 miles in the wrong direction to get there!

You're lucky, my drive for fuel is only 1.3 miles each way (though the drive back is often a bit longer!).

+1 for V Power, I do a 10 mile round trip for it, worth every penny and smile
