Blind spot monitor

Is the blind spot monitor available as a retro fit item. I assume not? I have it on my XE and find it very useful.

Hi Vroom,

I too find the blind spot monitoring on my F Type useful.
So much, that I speced it on my Transit daily drive.

2 options I've seen but have no experience of ..... To consider.

I'm intending fitting the Unique Auto Developments Android auto upgrade to my F type, I've mourned the loss of Spotify!
UAD also list direct wire blind spot system for Jagar with replacement mirrors which looks OEM.
While searching you tube for info fitting the infotainment upgrade, I found this guy Paul Calvert
He has retro fitted the jaguar OEM system along with the rear camera and briefly describes the trials of doing so!

Many thanks for your help. Really encouraged that it is possible although not sure that I have the skills to do it. I will ask JLR if they can help when the Covid situation is better. In the meantime I’ll just enjoy the car. I’ve had it for 2 1/2 years and love it as much now as when I first drove it.

As has been said elsewhere, main dealers won't do anything that deviates from the car's stock equipment. Your best bet would be to find an independent Jaguar specialist who might be able to help.
