Well it turned up today and what brilliant quick service from Rimmer's. It is a lovely bit of kit and I can see why JLR want over £150!!
Fits a my2017 f type with no issues. At the end of the day it is 3no 7mm holes in the carpet so I can't see why there should be an issue.
Looks a treat and very pleased (especially the price)
Only slight difference is the pattern doesn't quite match but not that noticeable so I guess that may be where the model year makes a difference.

Was there any problem drilling the carpet ?

No no problem at all. The chrome plate has three studs that protrude into the plastic trim clips. The backing plate can be used as a template for the holes. You literally run the drill into the carpet and through the insulation without touching metal if you see what I mean.

Thanks for that info. I haven't fitted mine yet as I was concerned that I'd be drilling through the floorpan. I'll get it done soon.
