If you were to sell your F-Type, what car would you get?

Anything F-Type related......

With valuations being so high at the moment, some have decided to cash in and sell their F-Type. If you were to sell yours, what would you get as a replacement?

For me and my 66 plate R AWD - If I were to sell mine I would have a LOT of equity. However, I am not tempted in the slightest to sell. For me, my toy is a 'day off' car. I picked it up 3 and a half years ago with 4300 miles on the clock and now it has done 11600. There is nothing out there that has the looks and the sound! Performance is obviously good too and the foot to the floor really brings a smile.

I would take an Aventador SVJ to replace my 1 litre VW Up! which I use as a runaround though.

My car is a weekend only hobby car. When I purchased it the only other car I was looking at was a Ford Escort MkII Rally Car (road legal). Jag won as a bit more practical & comfortable.

I’ve modded it as much as I can to make it a bit more lairy, loud & unique but I’ve still got the itch for an Escort.

The only thing stopping me is the lovely people I’ve met at Jaguar Breakfast Club. Escorts pop up on my searches & it gets very tempting. However I do love my F-Type & the Jaguar meets, so will be keeping it.

Up until recently my F-Type value was dropping whilst a 30 year old Escort appreciates. For now they are both going north 👍😄

I have a V6S convertible for the weekend and a BMW 530d M Sport touring for daily duties.

I have 5 constant dilemmas in my head:
1) Sell both and buy a fantastic all rounder such as an M3/M5 Competition
2) Get a V8 AWD coupe to get the dog in the boot, increase frequency I can use the F-Type.
3) If sticking with a convertible then change out to the more dynamic Z4 M40i
4) New Supra... wildcard
5) Swap the 5 series out for a more practical X3 M40i\40d.

For now, I've decided to be contempt and stick with both and appreciate how lucky I am. Now is not the time to be swapping cars. I bought in low, so high % of capital against the assets. The gap is only increasing, so sure my V6S has gone up by 15-20%, but guess what so has that SVR I really want. The market will implode sooner or later. My car being worth more is not a good thing unless trading down, much like the housing market.

I don't want anything that involves sitting on the road. My daughter's lowered MX5 is such an effort to get in and out of. And I'm not getting any younger.

The Aston Vantage with the new grille is quite nice. But quite similar to an F type really, but with loadsamoney running costs.

If I were to sell my F-Type I'd be getting a psychiatrist, not another car!

The new Lotus Emira in blue is a fine looking thing. I suspect that by the time I can afford one I’ll be too decrepit to crawl down into it, and it’ll run on batteries

That's the only other car that makes me go "oooooh".

Other than a Ferrari 458. But they're silly money.

Upgrade to a V8 F-Type probably or else an Aston Martin.

I'd look at an AMG GT or Nissan GTR. There again I might prefer a Bentley Continental. Would be fun testing those three, at least.
