Fuel injector cleaner

I realise this topic must have been covered a hundred times before

Ok, as I'm getting a small amount of white smoke from the right-hand exhaust when cold from my V6, I'm thinking that some injector cleaner in the fuel tank might be called for.
However, there are so many differing stories of the effectiveness.
I would probably use Techron PEA at around £15 a bottle, so I'm wondering if anyone has actually used injector cleaner to sort out the white smoke problem and seen any visible improvement.
What I really want to know is whether anyone has definitely seen cleaner exhaust gases after using some.
I know, only £15, but if no-one has actually seen any difference I'd rather put the £15 to better use... like in the fuel tank. :D

Thanks.

In the old days, white exhaust smoke when just started was usually due to iffy valve guides/seals. I have no idea if this would relate to our engines.

Bet you it's not smoke, but rather steam...reason being is that the right and left hand side pipes are common, so it is was smoke it would come out of both not one.
Trapped condensation/moisture on one side is more probable.

Thanks Tel... for putting my mind to rest.
Won't be bothering with the injector cleaner as the gas is not excessive and like you say, probably just steam.
