Hi guys,
I have ordered a set of black badges for the rear of my F type R and I’m trying to decide which to fit
Option A) to fit all three black badges and remove the AWD badge (jaguar leaper, ‘F type’ and the black R)
Option B) just fit the black jaguar leaper and ‘F type’ and then leave the silver AWD and R .. not sure f this would look weird but trying to avoid looking to chavvy and ‘murdered out’
Thank you!!
Top two silver
Bottom two black
Badges - black or silver? R
For me I changed my full Crome Corinthian grey R to:
All badges fitted in black.
Window surrounds black.
Storms with silver accents (as shown).
Bonnet and side vents black.
Front grill surround silver.
Silver wheels and grill avoid the ‘murdered out’ look.

I brought and fitted a black set for mine as I thought they would look good and they looked awful. I had to buy a new set of silver ones and fit them back on the car bloody nightmare. My car is white I think darker coloured cars would look better with the black badges.
That's interestng, I was thinking the black ones would look better than silver on my white one. I think I'll leave it stock.api330 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 21, 2022 10:37 am I brought and fitted a black set for mine as I thought they would look good and they looked awful. My car has the external black pack but the badges were still chrome which looked odd. I fitted black leaper and Jaguar badges and removed the f type and model number badges and very happy with how it now looks. I agree with others that lighter coloured cars suit the black badges and darker coloured cars suit the chrome ones - but if you have a light coloured car without the external black pack I guess it might not work.
The part numbers I've seen are:
T2R46258: F-Type badge
T2R46540: Black leaper with JAGUAR
T2R27585: Black leaper with JAGUAR (not sure about this one)
T2R53738: R Badge (black)

On dark green, I would look for a straw coloured chrome, like Nickel colour. Black is too dark to see the badges against a dark car.
I had my chrome ones Hydrodipped Piano Black many moons ago. With black exhaust tips, did it for me.
