F-Type Wind Deflector
I have for sale 2 Acrylic Wind Deflectors. I have a 2014 model and that's what I have made the profile to fit. Just remove the original and pop the new one in. One is a dark tint with a graphic on and the other is a lighter tinted version. I'm asking for £80 each if anyone is interested

Have you sold these? I know the post was from a while ago.

They look nice, but I'm sure they will cause issues with the airflow and level of buffeting in the cabin - the OEM version is perforated for a reason!!sportybiker69 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2023 1:02 pm Have you sold these? I know the post was from a while ago.

Totally agree. The book on the development of the BMW Z4 goes into great detail on how the airflow in a cabin works and why they went that route.SilverDreamMachine wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2023 4:38 pmThey look nice, but I'm sure they will cause issues with the airflow and level of buffeting in the cabin - the OEM version is perforated for a reason!!sportybiker69 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2023 1:02 pm Have you sold these? Same applies to gardens where mesh barriers protect plants way better than fences and walls

I guess for the same reason that they'll sell you a couple of straps to hold an umbrella in the boot for around £100
I took my standard perforated one off upon getting the car home and it's been in the garage ever since.
For those who do use them a spring wash in soapy water is recommended to ensure the small perforations are not clogged up.

I’ve had a clear acrylic wind deflector fitted to mine for over two years now, cut to the profile of the original mesh one. There is a very slight increase in buffeting over the mesh one but far better than no deflector at all. The advantage of being able to see behind you, especially at night, is well worth it for me. Not sure I’d bother with a tinted one myself though.
