I’ve only had the F-Type for a few days but some initial comparisons with F-Pace which I have had for 4 years…
The F-Type
1) looks better
2) faster
2) gets more attention, already had “nice car” comment when filling with fuel for first time
3) encourages a few boy racers to tailgate etc
4) noisier (tyre noise seems to be main reason plus a bit more wind noise - ears close to frameless windows?)
5) harder to see out of (and get out of as low to ground- must be getting old😂)
6) makes you feel good/special

The things that have surprised me are
7) I actually prefer F-Pace exhaust note overall - F-Type sounds better and more exotic at high revs but more raspy lower down (I have put fuse 15 back in for this reason)
8) higher driving position of F-Pace/better visibility makes it easier to place on the road - feels easier to drive quickly. Some of this will be familiarity but not all - it reminds me why SUVs are so popular. I reckon the F-Pace would fairly easily keep up with the F-Type on the road (but not on track). This is just my initial impression.

Overall the cars are different enough to justify having both (I tell myself!) and I can see the F-Type becoming a “special days only” car that will be pampered.

Are they the standard Jag wheels ?

The F-type has the #1041 maelstrom wheels that normally come with ceramic brakes (but could be optioned with standard brakes). They are normally diamond cut but mine were full satin black from new (an SVO special request I was told).

The nuts look special, first time l see these, and the assorted antitheft one too.
The disc shows some deep grooves,or may be its a picture effect.
Enjoy!
