Hi all,

What do/have you used to buff out/colour in those little scratches that seem to come out of nowhere - t-cut, colour pens etc?

Any links appreciated as would like to add some to my kit  .

Autoglym paint renovator is much easier to use than T cut and easy to get (Halfords). Farecla G3 scratch remover is a bit more aggressive and again less is more, as these components diminish as they are worked into finer particles.

All the autoglym stuff is pretty good and designed to be used by hand, Their Super Resin Polish has a small amount of cut and contains fillers to mask defects as well as provide a protective layer. Other comparable brands will be pretty similar eg Auto Finesse, Meguires etc.

For machine polishing I use Sonax stuff, but Autoglym Paint Renovator comes out regularly as it's quick and easy..

I used autobrite enrich followed by final finish. I did a full correction yesterday and it took all the swirls out without much effort (machine polishing). The paint is very soft so it doesn't take a lot of work, make sure you use something like carpro cquartz ceramic or a good quality wax to protect the paint after though!
