History check

Hi, is a history check possible on this car, VA17 LRU?

Hopefully someone will be along with access to more information but a quick check of it's service history shows this:

It also shows the last service was 09/08/2022 at a Halfords Autocentre which to me say's someone was servicing on the cheap...

A relative has had stuff done in a Halfords Autocentre, I ferried their car there. I was most impressed with the service and knowledge there, far better than my expectation.

My local HAC is also very good - even had an experienced classic car employee do some work on my ‘65 Mustang.

I’m sure it varies from town to town, but up against the “quality” of most JLR dealers, if I didn’t have a top class indie near me I’d trust them to do things after a discussion of expectation / specific oil / etc.

Don't underestimate how good Halfords can be, especially if you haven't had personal experience of them.

Certainly not on the cheap in terms of quality at Autocentres, although cheap on price.

In fact just renewed my membership of Halfords Motoring Club. Black Friday £30 deal. Includes £10 unrestricted voucher and free c£45 MOT at their centres and ongoing annual 5% to 10% discount.

Thanks for replies. Interesting that Halfords is mentioned, I've been told the vehicle has a full JLR service history....

Hi, this is car 51502.

2L in silver.
I believe it was originally owned by Jaguar (nothing online for it), is missing PDI record and was last seen by Halfords in Redditch on 9th Aug 2022 with 29,854 miles. (Therefore overdue a service by 108 days).

No tax since end June and MOT expired July 13
Doesn't have full JLR service either as noted by Simple R
Adds up to a car that's been on the market for almost 6 months with no takers, so warrants some questioning around price, spec. condition, etc.
