Well it looks like I am going to have to change my forum name as I have now given up on trying to find a manual F type in the spec I want.
So I am now looking at a couple of auto cars . one is reg ou19xaa and the other is wf68vls . Both are a couple of hundred miles from me in opposite directions and have vastly different prices .
The 19 plate one is about £5 to 6 thousand overpriced for a private sale according to hpi but I may have to give him a call and try to get him to be sensible .
The dealer one is pretty much priced where it should be.
I know that the 19 plate will have the quieter exhaust but am not sure of the chassis number of the 68 plate to see if that has pp filters fitted or not (apparently after chassis 59207 )
Still in the early stages of deciding which one would be better for me so if simple r could do his magic and do some checks it would be appreciated.
Thanks. Steve.

No need for a name change - put it in S and use the stick like a sequential gearbox (forward to shift down, back for upshift, back and hold to reenter auto mode) instead of the paddles!

Good luck with the search and enjoy the test drives!

ou19xaa
MY20 - Car 64257
Not a Paragon Car! Privately owned in London for 3 years presumably on PCP before moving onto Hertfordshire and last seen by Jaguar in 2022. So check for missing paperwork for 2nd and 5th services and note rear diff oil not done.

wf68vls
MY19 - Car 58682
Started life in Exeter before moving onto Warwickhire.
Should have had 5 services but only had three, all late, probably one due to COVID so again check for paperwork.

Can no one service an £70-£85k car on time and to manufacture requirements lol.

What is this manual spec required?

Also. 59207 applies to V8's.

I don't have a definite car number when GPF filters were added to V6's but car 59043 definitely has them.

I am working on the assumption that any MY19 specification car would have been tamed by Brussels however 58682 would be quite early. Check the V5C to see whether it says Euro 6 or Euro 6a. There was another topic which suggested the V5C emissions might indicate 6a is with GPF.

Thanks simpleR
The 19 plate is currently in Scotland and overpriced .It looks nice though . I am planning on the Jag being my final blow out car to be kept for many years as there is no other car out there that I have really been interested in for years now.
This is why I have been holding out for a manual 380 in red or carpathian grey but I know they are very rare.
I realised that I am not getting any younger and tried the auto last year using the gear-lever,rather than the flappies and thought I will have to learn to live with it.
The 68 plate car has been looked after by a Land Rover specialist for the last few services (they are the ones that are selling it.) so I will have to ask what they have actually done to the car to see if it has had the jag stuff done or just general oil changes etc.
I am a truck mechanic and do my own servicing unless specialist tools or training are needed and go by mileage than time for services unless it is something like a timing belt.
I will see what other work has been carried out to see if it has had any of the known things that can go wrong done .
Thanks again , I will have a look into both cars and have a think.

Shame you're giving up on finding a manual. I didn't get everything I wanted spec wise with mine (i.e pano roof and a light coloured interior) but the stick makes up for it big time. And the black interior with the nice aluminium accents on my MY18 R-Dynamic has definitely grown on me. Upgrading the interior lights helped a bit. I've also tinted the rear windows, new puddle lights and fitted a rear camera since picking it up last month.

I appreciate that Jaguar came up with the R-Dynamic trim for the base model as the body kit makes it stand out. I will look into tuning it to 400Hp/470nm at some point but I'm not in a rush as the car drives really well stock in dynamic mode.

Good luck in your search!

There are 214 manuals out there somewhere. Of which only 68 are the (possibly more desired) S 380PS.

I don't know how many are red or grey from the 68 though.

This is the only one for sale.

Car 18442. A Jaguar press/demo car from factory until recovered by COPART and placed onto storage before it went through closed auction and into the used approved programme. Limited service history and not seen by Jaguar for 4 years but you said service history is not important to you.

In Italian Racing Red which every option fitted included carbon roof as it was a Jaguar car, it might of had a hard start to life but appears to have a new clutch and flywheel in 2023. 4 previous owners.

That looks like a nice car with the carbon roof and leather headlining, somewhat rare

I'm sure this gets asked a lot, but where do you get this info?
All lovely cars Steve, I'm sure you're going to enjoy it whichever you choose. I got mine last week and I've put 1000 miles on it!
