Welcome to the forum. I can't help with the history or Notts specialists, but at that age I'd be inclined to find an independent you can trust and rely on them to keep you on the road for a reasonable price. Good luck with the search!

Car 43924
Santorini black 340ps (non S).

This is an older MY16 spec car that was unsold, based on number probably around Q2 2016.

Typically 17 plate cars would be MY18 spec, model years run in advance in Jaguar world. An MY18 has updated head unit and other things but sellers don't price or realise this and sell based on reg plate/year.

It was PDI at Jaguar Leicester in Feb 2017 but then wasn't registered until 26th April 2017 as warranty start date. Possibly moved between dealers to Manchester. 3 previous owners.

Service history shows PDI, 1st, 2nd and 3rd service up to June 2020. There is then missing records in 2021 and 2022 and then 6th service is recorded in May 2023 at independent named Jag Centre still in Preston. So you'll be looking for paperwork for missing 4th and 5th services if that is important to you. COVID might explain a missing service as well.

MOT looks ok, the usual wiper blades and worn tyres are not uncommon. If wearing on inner edges then probably needs a 4 wheel alignment and tracker. I am in Derby and if it has the factory Pirelli tyres on then I recommend the Pirelli Performance Centre in Burton on Trent.
Although let's not turn this into a tyre debate topic! We have moved onto fuse 15 nowadays.

Servicing I have always used the £385 Service to Schedule at Jaguar Derby however some members reported issues mid 2023 with this and then it's been flooded and close since then. Unsure where I will take mine come July.

With any used car, get an independent check such as Car Vertical (who are linked to the forum, link at top of the webpage and 10% off).

And a good search of the forum for things to look for.
Good luck.

Hello Dungo. Welcome to the forum.

I’m in south Nottingham but have travelled to Elite & Performance Jags in Derby for a few years now. Very knowledgeable owner Dan. He’s a real enthusiast & owns a stunning XKR-S. They also MOT on site too. I always tie in my service/MOT together.

Did use MGA Jaguar Derby for one big service including gearbox, brake fluid etc. They were brilliant & the unit spotless. I would also recommend them.

They are both currently extremely busy, mainly from a good rep but I also assume the demise of the Derby main dealer.

Heard good things about JagTech in Nottingham (Daleside Road) . Closer to me but I personally didn’t get a good vibe when I went to enquire about some work.
