Evening folks. I joined the forum a month or so ago but didn’t introduce myself. Purchased my first Jaguar last October, F- Type BRG P450 71 reg. I had been after one for a while. So far so good, other than a snag with one of my tyre pressures, always believe your instruments! Glad I found this forum as I have found plenty of useful info. One question that I’d appreciate some feedback on is insurance. I’m expecting a significant increase later this year from what I’m reading and recent renewal on my other car. Have members found a company that will specialise in sports cars/ Jaguar? I know that there are numerous variables but interested in any pointers. Thanks in advance. The name is Mark btw.

I wouldn’t bother with Adrian Flux if that’s any help, always found them to be more expensive. Mine is a second vehicle which helps keep the premium down, and all I did with my insurance was go to a few of the comparison sites to see which offered the best policy taking into account all the deals/cashbacks/luncheon vouchers they try and bribe you with

My insurance is lowered by adding my other half to the cover. Worth a try adding a 2nd driver.

As you mention your other car, try a LV Multicar policy.

I would say make sure you sort out in advance by that I mean get quotes take up insurance 3-4 weeks or more if you can before required.
I had been looking for F type and had quotes from 2 comparison sites, I was using 8th March as purchase date / insurance start date, I would move date if I hadn’t found a car and prices were staying pretty close, I pick my new F type up on 29th February (4 days and counting well 3 and a bit days) I changed the date to show purchase date / insurance start to 29th prices increased by £100 + this was only 8 days earlier than the 8th March quote not even like I was renewing insurance and leaving it to last minute ( I have read insurance companies think people that do this are risk takers so premium goes up get it sorted well in advance

A beauty!
I found DialDirect to be the cheapest insurance for me (apart from some others with very low ratings for customer service).
